Delta – $363 [BASIC ECONOMY]: Newark / Chicago / Washington D.C. / Denver / Houston – Honolulu / Maui / Kauai / Kona, Hawaii (and vice versa). Roundtrip, including all Taxes

Delta is attacking United’s fares to/from Hawaii. But these are BASIC ECONOMY fares. Delta Basic Economy fares:

  • Do not allow for advance seat assignment – they are randomly assignment at checkin
  • No changes or cancellations after the risk free 24 hour cancellation period
  • Board last
  • But unlike American or United, it does allow for normal size carry-on

We do not normally post Basic Economy fares without the regular fare price. However, Delta want a $400 plus buy up to regular economy. That gap isn’t worth it to buy up. We would recommend you get yourself a Delta co-brand credit card, so you don’t board last and at least have a shot at the overhead bins.

If you follow us on Instagram, you know that we go to Hawaii with some frequency. We love it!

deal is dead. Alaska Air has some similarly low fares but with a full day layover in Seattle – however at least it’s not basic economy!
