United and Continental is offering up to 25% off economy award redemption to Europe and Africa. Normal redemption is 60,000 miles roundtrip to Europe and 80,000 miles to Africa. With the maximum discount, it will be 45,000 miles to Europe and 60,000 miles to Africa. This discount is only available for United and Continental operated flights, so you cannot use it with Star Alliance partners like Lufthansa or South African Airlines.
The terms of the offer:
- Must book by January 16th, 2012 for travel from January 27th to March 22nd. A Saturday stay and roundtrip is required.
- 25% off is for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday departures and 20% for Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday departures. If you leave Monday and return Sunday, you will get 25% off for the Monday departure and 20% the Sunday departure. This means if you were going to Europe, it would be 22,500 miles for the outbound and 24,000 miles for the inbound or 46,500 miles.
