A good sale to Barranquilla. Cartagena and Santa Marta are both within a 2 hour bus ride from Barranquilla so it’s pretty easy to visit 3 cities for the price of one.

Based on our checks, these itineraries requires overnight layovers in Miami and Bogota from most departure cities. We checked and found availability from:

  • San Francisco [SFO]
  • Boston [BOS]
  • New York [NYC]
  • Philadelphia [PHL]
  • Washington D.C. [WAS]
  • Miami [MIA]
  • Dallas [DFW]
  • Phoenix [PHX]
  • Los Angeles [LAX]
  • Portland [PDX]
  • Seattle [SEA]
  • Chicago [ORD]

We believe this is available from pretty much everywhere. So, if we didn’t list your city, check it to see if it’s available.

From SEA they require layovers….UNTIL Sep, in Sept I was being show the same price with red-eye from SEA-MIA making a brilliant 1:45 connection or so at MIA prior to BAQ. Same on the way back evening flight from MIA-SEA arriving around 23:30 in SEA.

Can’t seem to get it to price anywhere close to the ITA Matrix price 🙁

    • The Flight Deal says:

@brett – what are your dates? and origination?

      • brett armstrong says:

I’ve been looking at Aug 18-24 and Sep 8-14

I’ve found those dates and many others on ITA. But for the life of me I can’t get it to price on any of the OTAs I’ve tried. I called my travel agent, she had some problems and couldn’t get it, I called another travel agent and it priced just over $1000 CAD.

ITA I had found anywhere between $484-500 CAD, I’m happy to pay anywhere in that ballpark if I can find it.

Found the September dates now on Flighthub, maybe the deal is closing down? Either way I think I’ll be booking this now.

    Thanks for the heads up!

    • brett armstrong says:

      $390 USD great price

      • brett armstrong says:

booked directly on in case someone had a code or whatever they wanted to use. Booked into O

        • brett armstrong says:

Check that, couldn’t book cuz of my Canadianness so I booked on flighthub.

My travel agent said the issue was the first leg, which in all cases was a US airways operated flight, so if you have trouble booking, look to September for the red-eye from Seattle and avoid the US airways to CLT (though I thought it would be cool to check out charlotte for 6-7 hours, never been there, WOOOOOO)

    • The Flight Deal says:

@brett – the fare is set expire today.. glad you manage to price somewhere.

  4. Amanda says:

I also can’t find anything close to the ITA Matrix 🙁

Trying to go for a week from Seattle and also (for a friend) from LA. Prices are coming up as twice as much.

    • The Flight Deal says:

@Amanda – use flexible search. it’s still there – here’s availability for September for example using the search instructions in the post.

    • Brett Armstrong says:

Amanda, if you’re not trying September, try that. Worked for me. Also, you may need to find itineraries that don’t include US Airways, that’s what was holding me back.
