Norwegian – Starting $180: New York / Boston / Baltimore – Guadeloupe / Martinique. Roundtrip, including all Taxes

Norwegian, the low cost carrier out of Norway is launching service between New York, Boston, Baltimore and Caribbean Islands of Guadeloupe and Martinique starting this December.

We found fares starting at $180 roundtrip.

Be mindful of Norwegian’s fees — they charge for everything. But even factoring them in, these fares are at least 50% off the normal going rate.

The Norwegian site does not have the drop down for Boston and Baltimore yet. But we got you covered:

We were able to book and find plenty of seats still available on Friday morning.
The days with $79 and $99 fares are limited. Travelers in the Northeast might consider departing from one airport and returning to another (say, Boston and JFK) to qualify for the lowest fares and to optimize the number of days of travel.

Guadeloupe is a beautiful island…been there several times. Shaped like the wings of a butterfly, half the island is temperate and more developed for tourism. The other half is tropical, with rainforest and waterfall and lovely little villages. Great beaches, great food, great rum. If you visit for more than a few days, it’s worth a detour to take a ferry or small plane to one of the small islands off the coast of Guadeloupe: Les Saintes (actually two islands), Marie-Galante and Desirade.
