    Fare is dead now, raised to the 800s/900s with limited stopover options.

    I got royally screwed by this deal – visa processing time is going to be a week longer than the embassy website said, and now can’t change my flight. Maybe that’s why they can offer such low price on a short turnaround flight.

    Not a good first experience with Brazil 🙁 That said, you can go Ft Lauderdale – Mexico City for only $180 on Spirit Air I found out. That would at least cover the MEX stopover I wanted.
