When using ITA matrix to find fares like this is it hit or miss that you tried osl and came up with the fare or is there a way to search for the lowest fare and the matrix shows you through osl has the lowest fare? Did you randomly chose osl and get the fare?

    • TFD says:

@Raj – this is an OSL fare that allows for stopovers in London, Paris, Amsterdam etc. So technically London, Paris etc is the stopover and OSL as the destination. We just happened to make the destination at OSL very short in duration and the stopover longer.

  2. R says:

My understanding is that the SAS segment does not earn any miles and therefore no elite qualifying dollars either? Is that correct?

    • TFD says:

@R – as far as we know, all SAS fares earn miles on United. We have never seen a fare from SAS that wasn’t on the UA accural chart. Since this fare is on 016 stock, it will earn full EQM/PQD.
