I need 8900 miles to reach platinum status on AA (targeted promo – need to complete by 8/31). Suggestions how to book this from ORD to do a 3-6 nt trip to Lima by 8/31? Thanks for your help!

    • TFD says:

@Michele, you would need to buy a ticket or use points to get to New York to start this itinerary. Make sure your promotion is miles vs a points requirement. This fare in O class will earn only 50% points and 100% mileage. The cheapest fare to Lima from Chicago for your travel period $874 but you would still be short about 700 miles.

I have no idea how to use this to book my flight. Can somebody help me? I’m looking to go to peru between Aug 20 to Sept 3, but can’t seem to activate this deal.

    • TFD says:

@Carlos – did you search using ITA and then try to book using the booking instructions per the post? If so, you will see the price is about $455 now, but you have to return on September 4th as there is no availability on returning September 3rd.

  3. Luis Chacon says:

Is this sale still available? I can’t seem to find this price for a 7 night flight anytime from October to January.
