Airfare Deal – Air France/KLM: Washington D.C. – Johannesburg, South Africa. $900. Roundtrip, including all Taxes

Air France and KLM has put Johannesburg on sale for about $800. Star Alliance carriers (United, Lufhansa, Brussels Airlines, Air Canada and Swiss Air) also have a similar fare. But those fares do not earn any miles. Instead, we recommend that you spend slightly more money to buy the $900 fare with Air France/KLM that does earn 100% mileage with Delta. The distance between Washington D.C. and Johannesburg via Air France / KLM is over 18,000 miles. At a super conservative valuation of a penny a mile, that’s worth $180. In essence, by spending about a hundred dollars more, you will at minimum earn a profit of about $80.
