Airfare Deal – Delta: New York – China. Under $960. Roundtrip, including all Taxes

Normally, we don’t get all that excited for China deals under $950 since Shanghai and Beijing usually go on sale for less than that. But this sale is to Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. In China, Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou and Shenzhen are considered Tier 1 cities and that’s where most foreigners visit and where the deals are. Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities are usually expensive — sort of like the US, visiting major cities like New York, Los Angeles or San Francisco are relatively a bargain compared to cities like Kansas City or Omaha.

But if you need to go to Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, this is a very good deal. Here’s what we found:

  • Qingdao (TAO) – $914
  • Fuzhou (FOC) – $914
  • Nanjiing  (NKG) – $901
  • Wuhan  (WUH) – $914
  • Wenzhou (WNZ) – $907
  • Guiyang (KWE) – $921
  • Dalian (DLC) – $950
  • Harbin (HRB) – $957
  • Shenyang (SHE) – $950
  • Jinan (TNA) – $943
  • Kunming (KMG) – $957

The segments from New York to either Shanghai or Beijing is with Delta. The intra-China are with either China Eastern or China Southern. These cities do not qualify for the 72 hour free transit visa, you will definitely need to apply for one prior to going.
