A very good deal from Boston to Lima. Lima is a good entry point for those who want to visit Machu Picchu. The best money-saving way to get to Machu Picchu is to redeem British Airways Avios (transferable from American Express Membership Rewards or Chase Ultimate Rewards) for a LAN flight from Lima to Cusco. Otherwise, the short one hour flight will be upwards of $300. It only costs 9,000 British Airways Avois points for the redemption — a great deal.
Lima in itself is worth the visit too — we love the food there. It is our favorite food destination in South America — more so than Buenos Aires.
