      True. But Cathay Pacific’s fare does not earn any miles. And miles is the best way for cheap travel. We only fly on flights that earn miles with either oneworld (American), SkyTeam (Delta) or Star (United or US Airways). We have used miles to do some great trips for free (e.g., New York to Phuket in Cathay Pacific First Class for $35, New York to Easter Island with a week stopover in Santiago de Chile for $85 in LAN Business Class).
