This is probably the best Istanbul fare we have published from Chicago for many reasons — 1) it is on United and not on a partner, so you will earn full elite status miles and if you have elite status, you will earn bonus miles, 2) you don’t have to worry whether or not the codeshare will give you miles, 3) it is the cheapest out of all the fares we published in the last few weeks, and 4) since United has about 60% of the Chicago market, this will keep a lot of United flyers in Chicago happy.
