Hyatt Visa Card – free night on renewal

This offer has expired.

Last year I got a Hyatt Visa card due to my extensive foreign travel. It was one of the few credit cards that did not charge a foreign exchange fee. In addition, they gave me 2 free nights at any Hyatt hotels worldwide including Park Hyatt’s. All that for a $75 annual fee.

Now that American Express Platinum does not have foreign exchange fees, I was going to cancel the Hyatt card. Lo and behold, a flyer comes in the mail today offering a free night good until September, 2012 at a category 1-4 Hyatt upon renewal. While that excludes most of the really nice hotels like the Park Hyatt Paris, there are still tons of nice options like Andaz West Hollywood in Los Angeles and Park Hyatt Hamburg. A free night at these would be greater than $75.

So I will keep it.

If you are interested in this card, go to www.goldpassport.com and look for the Hyatt Visa banner and apply.
