Air Tahiti Nui – $996: Los Angeles – Papeete, Tahiti. Roundtrip, including all Taxes

Pricy island!

We get emails asking for deals to Tahiti all the time. It is about 8,200 miles from Los Angeles roundtrip. Under our deal criterion, it would need about $490 roundtrip for us to post it. Not saying it will never happen, but unlikely.

If you want to go to Bora Bora, you need to buy another ticket with Air Tahiti (two different airlines — confusing). And that ticket is not cheap — about $500 roundtrip and there’s no mileage program that has Air Tahiti as a redemption partner.

So just to be clear– at $996, this is NOT a Flight Deal “deal”… but you are posting it because this is still a lower-than-normal airfare for this route? Or are you just posting this (and $996 is sort of the normal price) because lots of folks ask about it?
