We know that American Airlines rarely puts fares on sale from Dallas due to its dominance at their fortress hub. In that context, American has some amazing fares to Asia. The best price is to Taipei while the best mileage is to Shanghai due it being on all American metal. There is even a bonus miles promotion to Seoul.

  • In addition, there are actually two fares posted for each city – sample prices from Dallas
    • Seoul – $776: August 21st – November 30th or January 1st, 2014 – April 30th, 2014 for Monday through Thursday departures
    • Taipei – $736: We found availability in September for Monday through Thursday departures
    • Hong Kong – $766: Sept 2nd – December 15th or January 12th, 2014 – April 2nd, 2014 for Monday through Thursday departures
    • Ho Chi Minh City – $842: August 21st – November 30th or January 1st, 2014 – May 20th for Monday through Thursday departures
    • Bangkok – $913: July 21st – December 6th or December 25th – January 1st, 2014 or January 7th, 2014 – April 24th for Monday through Thursday departures.
    • Shanghai – $846: We found additional availability in October for Monday through Thursday departures
    • Beijing – $850: We found additional availability in October for Monday through Thursday departures
