El Al: US -> Tel Aviv, Israel. Less than $420. Roundtrip, including all Taxes

This will not last. Do not call the airline! It’s an obvious mistake. Few sample cities that this works for includes New York, Boston, Miami, Dallas, Chicago. Check yours.

We will repeat, if you cannot get it to work, do not call the airline. Use a different online booking engine.

[Update 8/6/2012 @ 1:45PM - the fare has been pull. The deal is dead!]

[Update 8/6/2012 @ 5:4PM -- we have been fielding questions in regards to what to do should this not be honor:

You can file a complaint with the Department of Transportation:

Use 399.88 as guidance: (“Therefore, if a consumer purchases a fare and that consumer receives confirmation (such as a confirmation email and/or the purchase appears on their credit card statement or online account summary) of their purchase, then the seller of air transportation cannot increase the price of that air transportation to that consumer, even when the fare is a “mistake.”)

Please visit this site: http://airconsumer.ost.dot.gov/escomplaint/es.cfm if you want to file a complaint. Thanks to jfkeze on Flyertalk putting this up]

can you book stop overs each way. fare rules say you can but I can;t figure out how

@Carol. If the fare rules say you can, it probably will work if you play around with it enough. Use multi-city booking option to see if it will price out correctly. That’s the best way. We haven’t played with it at all to see if that works. Part of our team is going for New Years, so we been trying to book just a normal itinerary for now.

Thanks, I’ve been trying all those for over an hour, but the only website that shows is ita. Is there any availability for 4-6 nights in November from ORD or JFK? If so, would you be so kind as to post the connections and I’ll book it ASAP!

Thanks for any help if you can!

Booked flights for my parents to visit for Thanksgiving! Do you know if there’s any precedent for them to cancel the tickets or refund?

    • TFD says:

@rachel there is always a chance they will cancel (e.g., the british airways mistake to india a few years ago). however, with the new dept of transportation regulations, less so.
