    • Departing from: JFK
    • Outbound Advanced Routing Code: la+
    • Destination: IGU
    • Return Advanced Routing Code: la+
    • (Click on Advanced Routing Codes link to enable advanced routing code input)

ITA is getting slammed today. If it errors out on you and you get an error box, do not hit the “search again” button. Instead, go to the address bar and hit enter. It will rerun the search. If it error out again, go to the address bar and hit enter again and again.

Mileage:

  • 14,504 miles or 3.4 cents per mile. LAN is a member of the Oneworld Alliance and American partner. This fare will earn 100% mileage with American. However, because this is an O fare and the Intra-South American segments are not, American will credit the intra-South American segments at 25%. We had luck with getting those segment manually posted at 100% through AAdvantage Customer Care. But your mileage may vary.

do the miles count as elite-qualifying, if transferred to American?

    thanks

The Flight Deal 9 years ago Reply

@joetraveler – yes. it is not transfer btw. you just add your AA # to the booking and it will be credited to your AA account.

I was able to have Priceline price out an itinerary with a 4-day stopover in SCL for $588 JFK-SCL-IGU via GIG and GRU for mid June 2015 and possibly a long layover in Sao Paulo. Decent price! Thanks, guys!

How did you get GIG in there? I’d really like to fit Rio in.

Lights within south american on lan will only earn %25 miles?

The Flight Deal 9 years ago Reply

@Miah – for O class fares like this — the segments within South America will post as 25%.

  • Miah 9 years ago Reply

ITA is not showing the same availability as everything else in FEB.

  • HJ 9 years ago Reply

How do you specify the layover?

The Flight Deal 9 years ago Reply

@HJ – please read the stopover guide in the post. finding a stopover is a manual process — it is all trial and error.

Nick Summy 9 years ago Reply

From what I can tell, you cannot have a stopover if its a TAM flight.
