Cathay Pacific’s fare does not earn miles with either its own program or American Airlines; 2. These flights equal over 15,000 miles or enough for an one way domestic award ticket (about $125 – $150 in value). By flying with United, you will save money in the long run. As much as we like Cathay Pacific, it is not worth a $125 difference in overall value.
