In general, publicly announced sales rarely save you much money. Our advice is always not try to buy on a particular day, but track your dates, see the pricing trend and buy it when it’s below the trend.

But since we are getting a lot of requests for Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals, here’s a roundup. This isn’t a comprehensive list but just major airlines we cover on a regular basis.

Alaska Air: Cyber Monday sale from $34 each way.

A decent enough sale. We highlighted two that are deal worthy. (Portland – Dallas and Seattle – Raleigh / St. Louis / Omaha)

Terms:

  • January, 2017 – early March, 2017
  • Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday departures and returns
  • 21 day advance purchase period
  • Expires December 5th

airberlin: Europe starting at $396

If you missed it last week, this is a good set of European deals. We posted the details here:

Air France / KLM: Cyber Monday sale

One world to describe it: LAME.

Deals last week on the un-announced sale to Europe was about $200 cheaper per destination. Why bother with this “sale”?

Terms:

  • Travel between January, 2017 – March, 2017
  • 7 day minimum stay
  • Book by November 28th

Air New Zealand: Cyber Monday sale

A good set of deals for $400 off their destinations. No fake discounts. Forty per cent off, but it’s off the base fare which is about $100 with the rest being taxes and fees. We have highlighted two of them:

Expires today.

American: No real sale

Delta: Cyber Monday sale

One world to describe it: LAME

Deals last week on the un-announced sale to Europe was about $200 cheaper per destination. Again, why bother?

Terms:

  • Travel between January, 2017 – March, 2017
  • 7 day minimum stay
  • Book by November 28th

Why does it look like Air France / KLM sale? They have a joint venture, so fares across the Atlantic will be about the same price regardless of whether it’s with Air France, Delta or KLM.

Emirates: 2 for 1 Companion offers

The same as last week:

  • Dubai for $621 when traveling as two
  • Other destinations have the same stipulations for a bit more.

Book on Emirates.

Hawaiian Air: Hawaii from $378.

Normal sales prices.
