Puerto Rico is definitely on sale. Last week, I got SFO-EWR-SJU round trip in business first/first on UA for about $1,000. For me it’s a “mile run” so I can top off UA million miles this year, and qualify for gold for life. With this itinerary I am in flat bed seats between SFO and EWR each way and I am accumulating 16,000+ elite qualifying miles for the trip. My dates are March 16-17 (and, ok call me crazy, I’m doing it again May 2-3). For purely mileage accumulation, this can’t be beat. Even better, I paid for most of this travel using Citi Thank You points sign up bonuses.
