A fare worthy of a positioning flight, super cheap. Still hoping Copa comes farther up the west coast. As with most fares earns 100% on Aeroplan as well. 36 minute connection is fine at PTY, no customs clearing for transiting passengers, gates are all located near each other.

I just don’t have the time for it 🙁

You could also likely to an upgrade auction, a minimum bid often gets it done as the loads aren’t super full.

Bidding on an upgrade has gotten me bonus on AP as well, got credited as a C fare, 125%.

Brett – where did you find a 36 minute connection? All the dates I found had connections of around 8-14 hours, it seems. Also, I did one of these deals on Copa from IAD, roundtrip to Santiago, Chile for $380 at the end of May. You’re right that a shorter layover in Panama isn’t bad at all.

Josh, Brett is likely referring to the connection shown on the Priceline booking screenshot above, which is 36 min on the outbound legs.
