Thanks to the generosity of one of our fans who would like to remain anonymous, we have one 20% off United.com Discount Certificate to giveaway. To enter this giveaway is simple, but please read the terms of the discount certificate first before entering.

Update: Through the generosity of another anonymous fan, we also have a 10% off United.com discount certificate to the pot. It will go to the second person picked.

The terms and conditions of the discount certificate are:

  • Must book by March 30th, 2014
  • Travel must be completed by March 30th, 2014
  • For one passenger
  • Only on United marketed and operated flights (this means no codeshares — e.g., a Lufthansa operated flight under United flight number)
  • 20% off is only for the base fare — in actuality, it can be as little as 1% off the total ticket (such as yesterday’s deals to Copenhagen, Stockholm and Oslo where the base fare is between $40 – $70 or a $8 to $14 discount) to at max maybe 17% off (e.g., a $300 nonstop flight from New York to San Francisco would save about $50). The discount does not include taxes or carrier imposed surcharges like fuel.
    • The best bang for the buck will be Domestic, Carribbean, Central and South America and Asia. Europe and Africa would have small discounts as fuel surcharges to those markets are high.
  • This discount may be used on following published fares: United First(R) (F,A) class, United Business(R) (J,C,D,Z) class and United Economy(R) (Y, B, M, E, U, H, Q, V, W, S, T, L, K) class fares.
    • The economy restriction only really affects super discounted domestic tickets — since there are two fare classes – G and N which this discount would not work.

Now that you read the terms and conditions of the discount certificate, and you still want to win this certificate, to enter is simple:

  • Leave a comment on this post (not twitter or Facebook) by Sunday, March 9th at 11:59PM Eastern on what new features you would like to see on the site
  • Make sure you include a valid e-mail on the e-mail field so that we can contact you should you win.
  • On the name field, please just leave your first name. No need to put your full name.
  • We will choose a winner for the 20% and 10% discount certification using random.org on Monday, March 10th at 2:50PM Eastern.

Thanks again to our anonymous fan for the generosity.

Love your tweets on the most discounted airfares deals, however it would be ideal if we were able to receive the ones for my home airport. That way I didn’t have to wish for the places I could’ve lived to save on the amazing airfares to the destinations I wanted to travel to!

  117. Brandon says:

Thanks! More flights from the WAS area.

    • TFD says:

@Brandon – we made WAS (DC/BWI) a daily deal city — meaning, its only one of 4 cities guaranteed a deal everyday. That is as good as it is going to get.

    -Shannon D.

  122. Josiah says:

I would love to see a few things, much if not all have been mentioned:

    – Email alert by departure city
    – Added departure city: Minneapolis (to help out the folks in the Midwest looking for greater deal variety besides Chicago [Representing Central Wisconsin])
    – Added mobile support/app (this is low priority to me personally)
    – Text alerts to a user’s specifications e.g. Select departure city, select destination (or destination area)
    – Notification that the deal is dead at the top of the webpage perhaps as well as at the bottom of the deal text body (The red font is good, but I missed a dead deal alert once and spent an embarrassing amount of time trying to figure out what I wasn’t doing correctly to get a flight deal)

This site is fantastic and with continued support, I know that it could become one of the greatest.

    • TFD says:

@Josiah – We cover Minneapolis via our affiliate Fare Deal Alert (www.faredealalert.com).

  123. Tri says:

I would like to see lowest historical fare within the last 3 years or an avg fare deals

  124. Lina says:

I love this site. I have your Tweets set up to come through a texts so I don’t miss a deal. Maybe somewhere down the line it would be neat to have a section where you could manually enter your departure city or desired destination and see the deals on a map.

  125. Alexander says:

I would love to filter by airline. Thanks!

  126. Rajat says:
