Bali is definitely a great place to visit. Availability is limited.

For those who like to fly, this fare has very liberal routing rules. As a sample, we are routing via Sydney, Australia. The funny thing is that this routing actually has the best price.

What does “Two on the itinerary after free one in the United States for additional $100 per stopover.” mean? I tried to book this flight with a layover in SYD and it won’t work. Also tried Seoul and that didn’t work either. How do I find out what layovers are available? Sorry, just really confused.

    • TFD says:

@Shawn – finding stopovers are difficult and manual. The fare rule permit 3 stopovers, 1 for free and 2 at additional $100, but the 2 additional have to be in the United States. Just because the fare rules permits stopovers does not necessarily mean there is actual availability.

      • Shawn says:

Ok Thanks. The confusing thing is that the stopover says Area 3 (Asia?) but the flight never connects in Asia. It goes PHX – LAX – SYD – DPS. Seems a little odd. Must be generic fare rule I guess.

        • TFD says:

@Shawn – there are routings via Asia. And yes, Area 3 is Asia. We showed the Sydney routing because it was interesting and was the easiest to book on Delta.com

And fare rules are often times contradictory.
