In an unexpected move while we were putting this together – United has matched the fare. It means that this has staying power and will last at least through the evening. Based on our preliminary check of the United fare rules, it seems the match is nationwide.
From a pricing standpoint, Taipei, Manila, Hong Kong and Singapore are the least expensive to travel to, while Tokyo, Osaka and Bangkok hover around $800. In an unexpected way, availability to Beijing and Shanghai is uneven across our coverage cities — usually they have the best deals based on our experience.
